REMOTE SET-UPS

What is it, and how does it work? Let's get down to the nitty-gritty of remote set-ups.

RELOCATION

Relocation

GETTING A WORK PERMIT

The work permit will make it possible for talents to move abroad and legally work there.
The issuing of work permits varies depending on the countries, but no matter which country you need assistance for, our partners fast-track work permit applications and streamline the whole process. For instance, it typically takes 2-3 weeks instead of 3 months to get a work permit application approved in Sweden.

STEP 1

EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

Agree with the talent on employment conditions (salary, approx start-date, benefits etc) and sign the employment contract. The notice period varies from country to country and of course from company to company. However, many talents have a notice period of 2-4 weeks.

STEP 2

EMPLOYMENT OFFER FOR TRADE UNION

A Swedish trade union needs to approve of the agreed terms in the employment contract to make sure it is in line with the laws and norms in Sweden. The relocation agency will help you put together the form which is to be sent to the trade union. The union usually responds within 6 working days.

STEP 3

WORK PERMIT APPLICATION

The relocation agency will handle all contacts with the Swedish Migration’s Agency and help you put together the application for the work permit. They will also be in direct contact with the talent in order for them to collect all required documents from the talent. A work permit is most often issued within 10-12 working days.

RELOCATING ABROAD

It is a big step to relocate to another country. The relocation agency will assist and guide both you as the employer and the talent in this process, in order to make it as smooth as possible.

COLLECT RESIDENCE CARD

1

The talent will collect the residence card which is a proof of the work permit and the right to live in Sweden for 2 years. The residence card is most often collected from the Swedish embassy or a consulate.

ARRANGE HOUSING

2

The relocation agency has a big network of landlords and are very efficient at finding an apartment to rent for the talent. They will get in touch with the talent to find out his/her preferences and will arrange digital viewings of apartments for the talent. The relocation agency will negotiate prices and make sure rental contracts are signed.

ARRANGE TRIP

3

The trip to Sweden can be arranged by the talent him/herself or by you as the employer. This is up to you and according to your company’s guidelines.

ASSIST WITH MOVING-IN

4

The relocation agency will assist the talent in the moving-in to the apartment so everything goes smoothly for the talent.

VISIT TO TAX OFFICE

5

The talent needs to visit the tax office as soon as possible after arrival in Sweden. The purpose is to register as living in Sweden and to initiate the process of getting a Swedish personal number and a Swedish id card. The appointment is easily booked online.

The talent should also visit a bank to open a Swedish bank account and to get a Swedish debit card.

The relocation agency can arrange these appointments as well as assisting in finding schools, daycare centers and much more.

Remote set-ups

HOW IT WORKS

A remote set-up is an efficient way of having your next developer working for you within just 1-2 weeks. It is also a great way of getting to know one another, before deciding whether to take the next step; work permit and relocation.

Go See can put you in connection with a trusted Go See partner, a service provider for remote set-ups. This will save you a lot of time and effort since your company doesn’t have to establish a legal entity in the particular country - or know the local legislation and tax structures. Go See and its partners together cover more than 130 countries! The Go See partner will take care of all legal aspects of hiring someone in another country.

AGREEMENT

1

Agree with the talent on the terms of the remote set-up. These terms typically involve start date, duration and extent. Agree on the compensation for the talent for the remote set-up. This can be per worked hour or a fixed monthly fee. This is something you can negotiate directly with the talent or have the Go See partner to handle. The Go See partner makes sure the talent gets compensated according to both norms and regulations for the particular country.

CONTRACTS

2

You can make it easy for you and let the Go See partner arrange all the necessary contracts. The Go See partner will make sure an employment contract is signed between them and the talent. The Go See partner can employ the talent or arrange an employment agreement. The Go See partner will arrange a contract for the remote set-up to be signed by them and by your company. The notice period for remote set-ups are most often 2-4 weeks, for both talent and employer.

ONBOARDING

3

Time to onboard your new colleague! Most talents are very used to working from home, and they already have the equipment needed for it. You just need to make sure they get a good introduction to your company and get access to the software and tools they need.

INVOICES

4

International payments can be very tricky. That is why we have made it easy for you and made sure you will get the invoices directly from the Go See partner. Invoices are generally sent once a month, but you can request any other interval if you wish.
